House Staunton, Melkbosstrand

This project provided a canvas that one dreams of having, with 180 degree sea views and a fresh West Coast feeling.

On one of the last available plots in Atlantic Beach Estate this project was new-build by the Renov8it team of builders of Jonathan Baker and Hein Englebrecht.

Our brief was to design (from scratch) and build 2 kitchens, a wine cellar, bedroom cabinetry for 4 bedrooms and some hardwood timber pieces for the outside of the property.

For us the “Pièce de résistance” of the project was the island in the duco sprayed white and grey kitchen. Clad with 40mm mitred Caesartsone Grande Polished countertop installed by the hugely talented team at Stonehenge Marble & Granite its an eye-catcher of beautiful proportions.

Not happy with just a stone counter to grab ones attention from the beautiful sea view it was finished off with a stunning 1500mm X 600mm X 70mm piece of American Oak from our friends at Hout Bay Timber Company who hand selected the piece and ensured that it was perfect!

We feel very privoleged to have worked on this project and we are in love with the final product.
